Anna Houlahan

One of the great strengths of Trader House is its pull for talented staff, across all venues. Throughout my time in the group I’ve worked with some of Australia’s most accomplished sommeliers, and all have shared their unique perspective on great wines so generously. I’m inspired by the variety of voices and opinions on wine and wine service within the group, all underpinned by knowledge and appreciation.

I’ve worked in a range of venues around Melbourne and Australia, and I am yet to find another organisation that provides structure, development and mentorship like Trader House. The restaurant is structured to crowdsource ideas for development from the staff. Because of this, we are given a voice to say what we need and are then given the tools we need to succeed.
