Welcoming Stokehouse

We're delighted to share that Stokehouse will join the Trader House family from October 2026.

For more than three decades, Stokehouse has held a special place in Melbourne's dining landscape. A restaurant shaped by its remarkable beachfront setting, generous hospitality and enduring sense of occasion, it has become part of the city's story and the backdrop to countless celebrations.

We have long admired what Frank, Sharon and Hugh van Haandel, together with their team, have built over the past 36 years. It's a privilege to continue that legacy.

Our intention is to preserve what has made Stokehouse so well loved while investing thoughtfully in its future. The restaurant will continue to welcome guests with the same warmth, care and sense of place that have defined it for generations.
