Rome on the River

On Sunday 8 June, we welcomed Chef Alessandro Pizzolato to the Bar Miette kitchen for a Roman-inspired takeover that brought the spirit of Trastevere to the terrace.

The afternoon was a celebration of the aperitivo — a cherished Italian ritual where drinks meet conversation, and small plates become the centrepiece of connection.

Originally from Rome and currently working in the kitchen at Supernormal as Head Chef, Alessandro brings with him the flavours and rhythm of the Eternal City.

We saw plates to share: Suppli with smoked scamorza, fried artichokes, gnocchi alla romana & mortadella & stracciatella focaccia —  all the salty savoury bites that remind Alessandro of home and call out for a second Campari.

It's our nod to the neighbourhood bars of Rome.
